The trip begins and ends in New Delhi-the capital of India. You will embark on tour of highlights of Old and New Delhi and then drive to Jaipur-also nicknamed as Pink City as the whole city is painted Pink. At Jaipur, the palaces and forts, and their every walls and chambers, have some stories to tell about the life of Maharajas, their courage and bravery, friendship and rivalry, their queens and concubines, and so forth. From Jaipur, you will drive towards Agra-where the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the modern world welcomes you with it's all glory and love. En route, you will explore the ruins of the abandoned captial of Fahetpur Sikri. From Agra,, you will return drive to Delhi and complete the famous journey of Golden Triangle.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi , Our Representative will meet you at the airport and you will be transferred to hotel. rest leisure day.
Day 02: In Delhi
After breakfast in the hotel, a full day city tour, visiting the sightseeing highlights of Old & New Delhi including Raj Ghat, Chandini Chowk, Jama Masjid, India Gate, President House, Rajpath, Qutab Minar and Humayun's Tomb.Optional dance & dinner at Chor Bizaare in Delhi.
Day 03: Drive Delhi/Jaipur (160miles/04 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. En route, visit the Amer Fort where you will take an elephant ride from the base to the fort. At Amber fort, you will visit Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Shila Devi Temple , Kesar Kyari Bagh. Take the ride back to the base of the fort and drive half an hour to Jaipur. Check in hotel and take rest for the day.
Day 04: In Jaipur
After breakfast, you will embark on tour of the famed Pink City.You will visit Hawa Mahal ( Palace of Winds ), The City Palace-where still resides the Maharaja of Rajasthan and Jantar Mantar-the observatory. In the late afternoon, you will visit the local bazaar which is vibrant with the daily happenings.
Day 05: Drive Jaipur/Agra (163 miles/06 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Agra -the glorious city of Taj Mahal . En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri-a city built in red sandstone by Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son-now a deserted city. A royal city perfectly preserved, Fatehpur Sikri provides a marvelous escape into the past. Among its much architectural game are the places for his queens - Jodha Bai, Mariyam and his Turkish sultana, built in varying styles, each perfect in itself. Later proceed for Agra . On arrival, check into the Hotel and take a rest in the evening.
Day 06: In Agra
In the morning, you will visit the Taj Mahal, the biggest attraction of this trip. This is one of the 7 Wonders of the modern world and is the most extravagant monument ever made for love. To people of all over the world, the Taj Mahal, mausoleum of the Mughal Empress Mumtaz Mahal is synonymous with India . You will also visit Red Fort which has been the seat of Mughal rulers for several years. The fort has palaces with pavilions, gardens, mosques, baths etc. Rest of the day is free to pursue independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Drive Agra/Delhi (125 miles/05 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Delhi and you will complete the Golden Triangle.
You will spend the rest of day free to pursue independent activities.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Delhi-Departure
Trip ends ! fly back home, taking with you the memory of a life time.
