Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU
Arrive Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Welcome & assistance on arrival at Airport. Transfer to Hotel. Hotel check in. Over night stay at Hotel Shanker or Similar.


DAY 02: SIGHT SEEING TOUR KATHMANDU
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day sightseeing including: AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the hill west of the city the most popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. The temple is colloquially known as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many small buildings and shrines down the hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square- The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu, Temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, 17th century temple known for colorfully painted erotic carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three story temple built from a single tree in 12th century. Lunch: 1300hrs - 14:00hrs PM: Patan is often referred to as Lalitpur, which means “city of beauty”. Patan has a long Buddhist History and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.Visit Patan City second largest city of valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen temple, Manga Hiti, King Yogaendra Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju temple, 15th century Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of 10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple. Bishwakarma Temple, Uma Maheshwar Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel Shanker or Similar.


DAY 03- SIGHT SEEING TOUR - AND DRIVE TO NAGARKOT
AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Visit Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the World. The holy river Bagmati and the burning ghats and also visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath. Lunch: 1300hrs- 1400hrsPM: After lunch transfer to Nagarkot that lies 35 km east of the Kathmandu city located at the elevation of 7200 ft., which offers 200 miles panorama of the Himalayas of Mt. Everest in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west, Arrive Nagarkot, Hotel Check in. Watch the Sunset and Himalayan views. Overnight stay at Hotel View Point or similar.


DAY 04- NAGARKOT – KATHMANDU
Morning wake up call for sunrise & Himalayan views in Nagarkot. After Breakfast transfer to Kathmandu on the way back to Kathmandu visit Bhaktapur also known as city of Devotees and center of medieval art and architecture founded by King Anand Dev in 889 AD visit Nyatapola temple, the most beautiful temple of Nepal, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, Golden gate and other place of Interest. Overnight stay at Hotel Shanker or Similar.


DAY 05: KATHMANDU – VARANASHI
After your breakfast we transfer you to the International Airport fly to Varanashi. Arrive Varanasi & transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel Clarks Varanasi.


DAY 06: SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN VARANASI
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Rest of the day free. Overnight Varanasi. Overnight stay at Hotel Clarks Varanasi.


DAY 07: VARANASI – KHAJURAHO
Morning transfer to airport for Khajuraho flight. Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at Holiday Inn or similar.


DAY 08: KHAJURAHO – AGRA
Morning visit the world famous Khajuraho temples. These Temples were built by the Chandelas between 950 AD & 1050 AD. The important ones are Chaunset Yogini Kali Temple, the Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath & Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples.

Visit the Eastern group of Temples. Parasvanath Temple is the only existing Jain Temple at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum.The Javeri Temple is dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna and Adinath. Drive to Jhansi (05hrs drive) In the evening train to Agra (Shatabdi epxress which departs at 1800hrs and arrives Agra at 2015hrs.. Upon arrival in Agra check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel Jaypee Palace or similar.


DAY 09: SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN AGRA
Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. Afternoon free. Overnight stay at Jaypee Palace or similar.


DAY 10: AGRA-JAIPUR
Drive to Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Overnight stay at Holiday Inn or similar.


DAY 11: SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN JAIPUR
Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight stay at Holiday Inn or similar.


DAY 12: JAIPUR –AJMER & PUSHKER & PUSHKAR JAIPUR
Full day excursion of Ajmer and Pushkar. Night in Jaipur. The visits consists of the Tomb of the Sufi Saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, the Dargah Sharif. The city was founded by the Chauhan ruler, Aiaipal, during the 11th century & is dominated by the Taragarh Fort built by Prithviraj Chauhan. In Pushkar, visit the holy Lake and also the famous Brahma Temple. Pushkar is one of the holiest places for Hindus. Overnight stay at Holiday Inn or similar.


DAY 13: JAIPUR – DELHI
After your breakfast we drive to Delhi. Overnight stay at Hotel Connaught or similar.


DAY 14: SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN DELHI
Morning tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ). Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings Overnight stay at Hotel Connaught or similar.


DAY 15: DEPARTURE.
