Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival Delhi
Assistance on arrival. Traditional welcome with garlanding and a welcome drink at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Start the tour with visit of the historic city of old Delhi including
the Red fort and the Jama Masjid. Post lunch tour of New Delhi to include
Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb and the Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
Day 03: Delhi/Mandawa
Morning drive to Mandawa (an old castle in Rajasthan). Post lunch session includes a small visit of Mandawa to appreciate the painted havelis on the ancient and the famous silk route.
Day 04: Mandawa/Samode
Arrive by lunch at Samode a small beautiful palace, 42 kms from Jaipur. Shortly after lunch make a tour of the village. Enjoy the dinner with exotic and local music and dance by the local dancers.
Day 05: Samode/Jaipur
Leave for Jaipur where a welcome drink is awaiting your arrival. After lunch elephant ride to the Amber Fort.
Day 06: Jaipur
Pre lunch would include a tour of the City Palace, the Royal residence of the Maharajah of Jaipur, and of the observatory dating back to the 18th century. Afternoon visit the handicraft centres of Jaipur in the Old Pink City.
Day 07: Jaipur/Agra
Arrive by lunch after the tour of the beautiful deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, the old capital of the Mugal emperor Akbar. Post lunch tour of the world famous Taj Mahal and of the Agra Fort.
Day 08: Agra/Khajuraho
Reach Khajuraho by flight in time for lunch. After lunch visit the world famous temples of Khajuraho, built in the 9th and the 10th century, known for their erotic statues in the world.
Day 09: Khajuraho/Varanasi
After breakfast reach the airport to catch flight to Varanasi. Post tour lunch of Sarnath, a centre for Buddhist learning. Later visit the silk factory where beautiful brocades are made on handlooms.
Day 10: Varanasi/Kathmandu
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges to see Hindu morning ablutions and their ways of life. Later also visit Bharat Mata Mandir and the Kashi Vidyapeeth. Arrive by lunch in Kathmandu by flight. After lunch visit the Buddhist Swayambhunath monkey temple in the Himalayan Kingdom city and tour of Kathmandu city. Nepalese folk dance show before dinner.
Day 11: Kathmandu
Morning excursion to Patan. Visit the city and the Tibetian refugee camp. After lunch visit Bodhnath, the Buddhist stupa, Bhaktapur and Pasupatinath, the Hindu temple.
Day 12: Kathmandu
Morning drive to Dhulikhel/Nagarkot for lunch and panoramic view of the Himalayas.
Day 13: Kathmandu/Delhi
To catch a flight to Delhi and arrive by dinnertime in Delhi. Dinner and transfer in time to the airport to catch yout international flight.
