Siklis Trekking
The best of three worlds: mountains, rivers, and jungles. For an introduction to mountain trekking, we walk scenic route in the Annapurna foothills near Pokhara and circle up through cool rhododendron forests and lovely Gurung villages with breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna , Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhare. ( Fishtail).
Returning from wonderful trip in the mountains, we board a raft and set off on a leisurely floating trip down the Trishulli river which flows into the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park .
We arrive at a rustic jungle lodge and camp where we will spend a couple of days searching for game on the back of an elephant, by dugout canoe, by jeep and on foot into the deep Terai jungle. You may see a one-horned rhinoceros, leopards, varieties of deer, the elusive Royal Bengal tiger, and any number of exotic tropical birds.
Siklis is a trek in Pokhara's Annapurna area that Nepal Trek House has chosen due to its relatively 'tourist-traffic-free' route. The trek is an easy one without any altitude problem. The joys of traveling through the villages and field with the backdrop of the mountains is quite an experience.
